Laura Harrington and Rob Pfister of DS&D invited instructor Virginia Smith and the RVCC Interior Design Studio III students to have class at their office on Wednesday, March 5, 2014. The students are working on a hypothetical, modern community library project for class. Abby Spindelman from Steelcase Education Solutions did a presentation on modern libraries for the students and their instructor. There was dialogue on current design issues and solutions over a nice breakfast. The students then presented their design ideas and received feedback from Abby and Laura in a room specifically designed for collaboration, flexibly and technology access. The students and their instructor got a tour of the great design facility with all the latest furniture. They got to see real design solutions in place. DS&D even invited the students to use their facility as a resource for this project. Laura spent over three hours working with us.
They have been a real community partner for our program and this project. Thanks DS&D!!
